BARCLAYS Global Investors(BGI) has launched an enhanced cash fund, the BGI Libor + Fund.
The fund replaces the BGI Euro, Sterling, and US Dollar Sele ct Cash funds and is a subfund of the BGI Cash Selection fund. Bosses said the fund will provide investors with returns above short-term interest rates over both the interest rate and credit cycles. It will be open to invest in a broad range of fixed income and money market securities of investment grade quality, as well as certain classes of derivatives such as exchange traded interest rate futures and credit default swaps.
