Gartmore seeks to rename Corp Bond fund

Gartmore has applied for authorisation to rename its Corporate Bond fund the Fixed Interest fund following the acquisition of John Anderson's Corporate Bond vehicle.

The Gartmore fund, currently managed by Simon Surtees, is languishing near the bottom of its sector over one, three and five years and the group may shift it out of the £ Corporate Bond sector into the IMA £ Strategic Bond, in order to further differentiate the products, though no timescale has been set on this move. Anderson's top-decile fund has been ranked sixth, second and fourth in its peer group over one, three and five years.
