RICHARD Colwell, the latest Credit Suisse fund manager to leave the firm, is to take up the newly-created position of high alpha UK equity fund manager at Morley.
Colwell joined Credit Suisse, where he was running its UK institutional portfolios, in June 2002 and prior to that was an analyst at Schroders. He is the latest in a string of high profile departures at Credit Suisse and his move comes less than a fortnight after UK Equity Income manager Errol Francis resigned to join Schroders. Colwell is to join Morley in January when he will work with four newly appointed managers hired in the last six months to boost its equity offering.
