RLAM talks up corporate bonds future

ROBERT Talbut, CIO at Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), believes there are compelling opportunities in corporate bonds in the current market.

He argued that, while corporate bonds were at their most attractive for many years, they were diametric to the equity sector, where investors have been trying to call the bottom of the market since the start of the year. Meanwhile, the corporate bond market has continued to sell off to fresh lows weekly. Talbut argued that the bond and equity markets were reacting to different factors, as opposed to having different global economic views.
