Credit Suisse expands bonds team

CREDIT Suisse has hired Raphael Kassin, manager of the ABN AMRO Global Emerging Markets Bond fund, to lead its emerging markets fixed income capability.

At ABN, Kassin was responsible for running £4bn in various emerging market debt portfolios. His departure has prompted Forsyth OBSR to withdraw the A rating awarded to Kassin’s ABN fund. The rating agency described the manager as the ‘driving force’ behind the fund’s performance. At Credit Suisse, Kassin, who has 17 years fund management experience, will run both retail and institutional money.
