Advisers welcome PFS plans to raise profile of Chartered Financial Planners

Advisers have reacted positively to plans by the Personal Finance Society (PFS) to raise the profile of the six per cent of its members that have chartered status.

The society has recognised that the number of Chartered Financial Planners is steadily increasing and has planned several initiatives aimed at raising their profile. The first of these will be the September launch of a 'Find an Adviser' website, which will give particular prominence to Chartered Financial Planners. PFS chief executive, Fay Goddard, said: "The site will have a very different look about it and will link into consumer guides.
