REITs 'most promising' growth prospect

REITA, the education and awareness campaign for REITs and property investment, has welcomed the findings of a new Datamonitor report that placed REITs amongst the most promising growth areas in the savings and investments market. The report also noted wraps and SIPPs as key areas for growth.

Dave Butler, Reita programme co-ordinator, said: “By placing REITs in the top three long-term opportunities for investment IFAs, this report demonstrates the growing recognition of the benefits of REITs as an internationally recognised tax-transparent vehicle for accessing the world’s commercial property markets. "Whilst the UK commercial property market may appear to some to be ‘jittery’, our most recent research showed professional advisers continue to rank the UK as their top destination for property investment”.
