Close targets Latvia and Lithuania

CLOSE Investments is considering opening up the Latvian and Lithuanian property markets to UK investors through its new fund.

The company recently launched the Close Mosaic Property fund which is focusing primarily on Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria provide the fund’s secondary focus. But Simon Cooke, managing director at Close Investments Property, said that Latvia and Lithuania could be the next focus for the fund. “Latvia and Lithuania are possible prospects but the current system there is very challenging," he said.
