The Life Trust Foundation (LTF) has warned the financial services industry and policy makers to act now to protect against the 'pension pinch', as life expectancy increases in the UK.
The LTF held its first seminar, 'An aging society: can we afford to live longer?' on Thursday, October 2, where a number of leading experts and key commentators on the subject of longevity gave their view. The LTF warned that not only are people living longer, but that of the UK's 34 million working population, half do not currently contribute to a personal pension.
