Fidelity extends FAST funds to Europe

Fidelity has extended the marketing of its Active Strategy (FAST) funds to professional investors across Europe following the funds' conversion to UCITS III and completion of local market registration.

The funds form a family of specialist active extension portfolios, and the group said that its FAST Europe and Japan funds have proved particularly popular with many investors in the countries where they have been available through private placement. Since launch three and a half years ago, the €484m FAST Europe fund has delivered a return of 96.3pc, net of fees, according to Fidelity. This compares with a return of 44.1pc from its benchmark, the MSCI Europe index.
