F&C introduces asset allocation fund

F&C is introducing an asset allocation fund to the UK market as it kick-starts a three-year initiative to offer more specialist and higher fee products.

It has launched the Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA) Alpha fund to institutional investors, seed-funded with €200m from a Dutch institutional client. The fund is shortly to be registered with European authorities and marketed to continental investors. However, it intends to launch a retail share class for UK investors once the institutional version is successfully running.
