Financial advisers are bracing themselves this morning ahead of what has been called "the most important day in the industry for 25 years".
At shortly after mid-day, the FSA will begin to outline its latest thinking on the future of the retail financial services industry in a full analysis of feedback to its Retail Distribution Review (RDR). In its latest RDR Interim Report in April, the FSA said: "We think the simpler landscape has the potential to deliver greater clarity for consumers and could lead to a material increase in the levels of consumer confidence in the advice sector."
