ALLIANZ Global Investors has predicted an increasing role for environmental technology companies within the economy.
The prediction follows the recently published Stern Report which considered the impact of climate change on the economy. Bozena Jankowska, team head of sustainability research at RCM (the active equity platform within Allianz Global Investors) said the Stern Report was the first of its kind to say that action needs to be taken now. He predicted there will be greater support and visibility for alternative energy such as solar, wind and biomass companies.
