ISA vehicle mooted as answer to pensions gap

A 'pension ISA' has been mooted by Martyn Laverick, head of group marketing at AWD Chase De Vere, as the possible solution to the nation's pensions deficit.

According to Laverick, the industry needs to be more forthcoming with its proposals to plug the pensions gap in the absence of radical reform by the Government. As such, he has pitched his own suggestion in a bid to get the ball rolling, commenting: "The driver is that no-one is stepping up to create a solution. This is just one idea that I'm putting out there. The industry and the Government need to put ideas on the table."
