FINANCIAL strain is taking its toll on middle-Britain, with above-average income households struggling to cope, according to AXA Life.
The claim comes in light of findings from AXA's recent study that revealed 72pc of households with a total income of £30,000 or more were looking to cut spending. The poll of almost 6,000 people revealed that 15pc of affluent households have taken on second jobs or sent a non-working member of the household out to work, while around one in five high earners plan to either stop saving or reduce their pension contributions.
