Standard Life poaches Baillie Gifford's Millington

Andrew Millington has defected from Baillie Gifford to become investment director of UK equities at Standard Life Investments (SLI).

The appointment marks SLI's move to expand the UK equities team, which it says currently controls approximately 1.9pc of the UK stockmarket. In his new role, Millington will report to David Cumming, head of UK equities and will initially focus on contributing to the analysis of UK stocks and sectors.
