Investments in ethical ISAs up - Co-op

RESEARCH by Co-operative Insurance suggests the number of consumers willing to invest ethically in an ISA has jumped by 18pc in the past year, with ethical funds under management in the fourth quarter of 2007 reaching £5.9bn.

The annual survey revealed that 85pc of people planning to invest into an ISA before April's deadline will consider using an ethical scheme for their allowance, up from 67pc a year ago. The findings also divulged that 77pc of consumers now believe that ethical investments can perform at least on a par with the mainstream market.
