Sesame tackles RDR proposals on professional standards

Sesame has pinpointed what it sees as the measures the FSA needs to take in order to achieve its objectives for reforms to professional standards and qualifications.

Executive chairman Ivan Martin led Sesame's team in a meeting with Amanda Bowe, who is currently heading up the RDR. The network has also published its recommendations on the transition to higher professional standards in a White Paper written by Paul Dawson, head of Sesame Learning. Dawson asserted that, despite the defeasance of the debate over exigencies for professional standards, it is an issue that still needs to be addressed. Recent findings from NMG Research found that 29pc of IFAs are currently working to diploma level or above, and Sesame's White Paper poses the key question...
