INVESTMENT manager turnover continues to cause concern for fund of funds managers, with a new study revealing over half of equity professionals leave their jobs within 12 months.
The Investment Solutions annual staff turnover survey found one of the biggest reasons for managers jumping ship was the lure of rival firms. It also showed turnover among equity investment professionals was running at more than 50pc, while it is even higher for fixed income, at over 60pc. In addition to competitors poaching employees, corporate restructuring was also highlighted in 20pc of cases of employees leaving.
