Newson leaves Aberdeen

Glenn Newson has stepped down from his role as head of UK property at Aberdeen Property Investors following the firm's acquisition of Goodman Property Investors.

Aberdeen acquired the Australian firm last month calling it "a logical step in cementing their position as a leading global property asset manager." Following its acquisition of Goodman Property Investors, Aberdeen is now the second biggest asset manager in the UK. Newson, whose future plans remain unclear, left Aberdeen last week 14 months after joining the firm, having been poached along with seven colleagues from Credit Suisse Asset management in 2007.
