Biotech looking to expand

THE International Biotechnology trust has revealed it is considering increasing its size through a C Share issue as part of the company's investment strategy.

It follows the company’s announcement that the net asset value of the trust’s ordinary shares has risen from £122.37p on November 15 2005 to £155.97p at the close of November 14 2006, a rise of 27.5pc. During the same period, the share price of the ordinary shares of the company has risen from a closing middle market price of £104.5p to £155.5p, which is an increase of 48.8pc. In view of this performance, the company said it was clear that it was benefiting from the management skills of the team at SV Life Sciences Managers LLP, and a C Share issue would help the company invest in unq...
