Fixed interest takes 25% of Skandia platform sales

UK fixed interest funds continue to dominate the top spot on Skandia's fund platform, accounting for over a quarter of all sales during January.

Long term regular premium business means UK Equity funds are also continuing to sell well, claiming the second place spot. Meanwhile, cash/money market funds took the third spot as advisers and their clients continue to take a more conservative approach to asset allocation during volatile markets. In terms of individual funds, BlackRock Cash remains the best selling vehicle on the platform, as it was during 2008. According to Skandia, sales during January were dominated by offerings with lower risk ratings with only two equity funds (Invesco Perpetual High Income and Skandia Spectrum ...
