Octopus unveils UK Smaller Companies OEIC

A NEW OEIC investing in UK smaller companies has been unveiled by Octopus Investments.

The offering, called the CF Octopus Opportunities fund, will aim to achieve capital growth for investors by purchasing a portfolio of between 30 and 50 holdings. It is managed by Richard Power and David Crawford. The duo, who already run £120m of AIM investments across a range of VCTs, EISs and IHT portfolios, will focus on AIM listed companies with a market capitalisation of under £100m, with the ideal company being around £50m in size. The managers will be able to hold unlimited cash in the vehicle and they can also go short of the index if the market takes a tumble to protect investors...
