SCOTTISH Widows Investment Partnership has two fund launches planned for the first quarter of 2007, and has revealed a high alpha fixed income product could be on the cards.
Head of UK distribution Simon Wombwell, who joined the business from Newton Investment Management 18 months ago, said new products were being developed in line with market demand. “If you look at the range and what advisers are looking for, there’s a requirement for specialism and particularly alpha. “In the longer-term we need to make sure our products are meeting this requirement.” Wombwell added: “We have a lot of products in the fixed income area and lots of skilled people, but presenting them in the right way, particularly to the IFA market, is the vital question.” He said FSA appr...
