The FTSE fell for the fourth consecutive day today at 6616.60, a drop of 32.7 points, or 0.49%.

BG Group followed at 808.5p, an increase of 9.5 points, or 1.19%. Centrica closed at 380.75, rising 4 points, or 1.06%. Royal Dutch Shell closed at 2006.00p, jumping 20 points, or 1.01%. DSG International was the afternoon’s biggest loser after dropping 6.3 points, or 3.72%, to 163.2p. Land Securities Group closed at 1735p after falling 57 points, or 3.18%.
