DSG leads FTSE losses

The FTSE 100 Index has dropped 20.80 points, or 0.4%, to 5637.40 points this morning, led by DSG International.

DSG has fallen 2.2% to 189p on reports fiscal-year net income dropped 10% to £215.9m. The company disclosed talks on selling its majority stake in the mobile-phone chain The Link to Telefonica SA's O2 unit. Land Securities Group has dropped 0.7% to 1,732p as it trades without the right to a dividend. HBOS has slipped 1.42% to 939.50p despite saying business remains robust and it remains comfortable with forecasts for 2006 underlying profit before tax of £5.19bn and underlying EPS of 94.9p.
