ABN Amro claims analysts' top spot

UK equities analysts working for Dutch bank ABN Amro are cheering results of the 2005 Thomson Extel Pan-European survey of equities houses.

The bank ranked number one overall for the category 'UK country analysis', as well as taking first and second places for individual analysts in the category. It ranked first for 'UK mid and small-caps research', 'UK mid and small-cap sales' and 'UK mid and small cap primary market access'. ABN Amro ranked third in the category ‘leading pan-European brokerage firm for mid and small-cap services’. The economics and strategy team ranked first for the third year running in the category for 'pan-European economics', and took third spot for 'pan-European equity market strategy'. IFAonline
