FTSE flat without Wall St guidance

Property developers led the risers as they awaited the publication of Kate Barker’s review of the UK’s planning rules. Hammerson rose 3.16% to 1,241p, British Land gained 2.85% to 1,333p and Land Securities advanced 2.79% to 1,879p. Contract caterer Compass gained 0.65% to 273p, as rumours emerged of possible interest from private equity groups.
