MetLife appoints UK CEO to grow business

MetLife has appointed Ed Gardner as chief executive officer (CEO) of its UK branch and Dominic Grinstead as strategic development and marketing director to grow the business.

Gardner joined the MetLife Group as chief financial officer (CFO) for the UK last August. He previously worked as a consultant for start-up bulk annuity business Lucida, at as UK CFO at Tata Consulting Services from July 2005 to December 2006 and held the same role at Canadian financial services provider Sun Life Financial where he worked for 19 years. Grinstead joined MetLife in 2005 to work on its January 2007 UK launch as business development director.
