LV= free CI offer latest protection innovation

LV= is offering free critical illness (CI) cover to anyone taking out income protection in the next three months.

The offer, available under the LV= Flexible Protection Plan, entitles new customers to a free lump sum payment equivalent to three times their monthly income protection (IP) benefit. LV= says the launch may encourage consumers to buy IP cover, which is always paid in instalments, but recognises customers may benefit from a lump sum payment if they develop a serious illness. It adds the offer tackles a misconception CI cover protects against an inability to work due to long-term sickness or an accident, and also helps address uncertainty caused by any conditions not covered under CI poli...
