Demand for flexible retirement products like SIPPs now overshadows that for conventional annuities, research suggests.
A nationwide MetLife study, based on interviews with 100 advisers in April, found almost nine in ten noticed this trend. MetLife says the research highlights a growing awareness of the benefits of more flexible retirement products, particularly since A-Day. However, the research also suggests clients’ understanding of their predicted retirement income remains lacking.
