Credit Fears drag FTSE over 200 points

Global credit fears dragged the FTSE down 210.6 points, or 3.36%, to 6060.6 this afternoon.

Tate & Lyle rose seven points, or 1.28%, to 555p. Carnival rose 14 points, or 0.63%, to 2246p. Kingfisher rose 1.25 points, or 0.58%, to 216p. Associated British Foods rose 4.5 points, or 0.53%, to 846p. Reckitt Benckiser rose one point, or 0.04%, to 2775p. Northern Rock fell 75 points, or 9.51%, to 714p. Man Group fell 45.25 points, or 8.59%, to 481.75p. International Power fell 31 points, or 7.05%, to 408.5p. Lonmin fell 227 points, or 6.94%, to 3045p.
