Accessibility of services online has again been brought into focus through the launch of Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 78, now available for download from British Standards (BSI)
The launch was initiated by Bert Massie chairman of the Disability Rights Commission, which co-developed PAS 78 alongside BSI. The specification covers areas such as how disabled people use websites, defining accessibility policies for whole websites, web technology, accessibility testing and maintenance, and contracting web design and accessibility auditing services.
