A-Day pension guide for consumers - FSA

The leaflets, entitled ‘Your pension – it’s time to choose,’ and ‘Retiring soon- what you need to do about your pension,’ provides an update on post A-Day changes in the pensions sector on 6 April 2006. The former title is aimed at individuals nearing retirement, along with those people who have a pension fund to invest in an annuity and want to take the next steps. The FSA says it is also available to firms to aid them in compliance with the Conduct of Business (COB) rule of informing consumers of their open-market option to buy an annuity.
