UBS appoints nationals/networks head

UBS Global Asset Management has appointed James Bampton as head of nationals and networks.

He will take responsibility for IFA relationships and report to Warren Tonkinson, head of UK strategic alliances. Bampton joins from Fidelity International where he worked as key client director for 10 years. His appointment brings the retail team to 16. In April UBS promoted John Shepherd to head of UK discretionary and intermediaries. Simultaneously, Tonkinson took on responsibility for nationals and networks.
