Adviser Matrix expects rush to networks

Adviser Matrix has confirmed it is to take on additional resource in anticipation of an increase in directly authorised mortgage advisers and IFAs considering joining networks.

The firm, which describes itself as a free and independent research service for financial intermediaries, says its research found one in five advisers have considered joining a network in 2008. It expects this figure to increase substantially next year, as the credit crisis continues and advisers review their business models. "While many advisers will prefer to continue with their directly authorised status, we expect to see an increase in the proportion deciding to join networks," explains Julian Wells, director of Adviser Matrix.
