FORMER DERIVATIVES trader Ashley Tatham is considering claiming £10m in lost earnings from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on top of the likely £2m-plus bill for costs that the regulator is facing, reports the Telegraph .
Tatham was cleared of charges of market abuse by the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal on Tuesday alongside Paul "The Plumber" Davidson. The paper says the former City Index trader is considering taking the FSA to court to recoup the money lost in earnings and share options. He is quoted by the paper as saying: "The whole case has cost me a huge amount personally and financially. Based on my contemporaries in other spread-betting firms, I have lost £10m in potential earnings.
