threesixty issues updated IHT guide

threesixty is offering a free updated version of its guide to IHT in response to the introduction of the transferable nil rate band announced in the last Pre-Budget.

The fee-based IFA support services provider says the new guide has been published following widespread confusion on the subject and demand for clarification by IFAs. The guide is a revision of threesixy’s publication: A Basic Guide to Inheritance Tax, which provides an overview of IHT for IFAs, including answers to commonly asked questions around pre and post-2006 trusts. IHT has become an increasingly important issue in recent years with the proportion of estates subject to IHT doubling, from 3% in the Chancellor’s 1999 Budget statement to 6% in the 2007 statement.
