Property firms drag FTSE down

The FTSE 100 is struggling in early trading, with property groups pushing the index down 26.80 points, or 0.41%, to 6544.50.

Segro, the investment and development property group, is taking the largest hit, slumping 22.5 points, or 3.53%, to 615. Another property firm Liberty International is among the biggest early losers, down 26 points, or 2.22% to 1147. BT holds the largest gains; it is up 3.75 points, or 1.14%, to 332.75. In New York, the Dow Jones was relatively stable in yesterday’s trading – falling just 5.45 points, or 0.04%, to 13422.28. General Motors was again the day’s highest mover, jumping 38.15 0.74 points, or 1.98%, to 38.15. AT&T was another to record a solid jump, moving 0.76 points, ...
