Increasing longevity is the biggest concern for advisers when recommending investment strategies for clients planning for retirement, according to MetLife Europe.
Research found over 40% of advisers are most concerned about rising longevity, compared to nearly 30% citing inflation as the biggest threat to clients’ investment strategies for retirement. Approximately 18% of advisers pointed to stock market volatility as the major challenge, while 11% believe the ability to protect savings in retirement is the biggest hazard to retirement planning.
