ABI to expand commission consultation online

The Association of British Insurers is planning to launch a new section of its website dedicated to the funding of financial advice debate.

The new section is expected to ‘go live’ before the end of the week and will include an online feedback facility whereby individuals will be able to contribute to the consultation process. The ABI recently called for a radical reworking of commission structures, which would see a major shift away from initial commissions towards ‘trail’ commissions paid only if a buyer maintains premiums over time.
