Brokers feel good about mortgage regulation - survey

A roadshow questionnaire put to mortgage brokers in September suggests most are happy with new regulations, says Intelligent Finance.

With a survey sample of about 1,000 answers, IF says 61% were positive to the pending changes – which have since gone through on M-Day. However, more than a quarter of brokers in the North (28%) and Midlands (26%) said they believed regulation would make no difference to their businesses. On a nationwide basis, just 13% of brokers believed the changes would have a negative impact. Regulation took top spot as the biggest problem facing the mortgage broking business, followed by the search for new business and cash flow.
