The FTSE 100 has ended the day down 23.1 points, or 0.36%, to 6,346.4 as property stocks helped bring the index lower.
Slough Estates was the biggest faller with a drop of 2.99% to 777.5p, closely followed by Wolseley which slipped 2.42% to £13.30, while Unilever dropped 2.39% to £13.89, after full year figures had a poor reception. Imperial Tobacco Group is also down 2.73% to £21.70, after a broker downgrade on fears it may bid for Altadis, after it announced it was spending nearly £1bn on US cigarette manufacturer Commonwealth Brands. However Smith & Nephew posted the biggest gains with a rise of 6.1% to 613p, closely followed by Reckitt Benckiser which added 4.47% to £25.95, while BG Group gained 4.1...
