Equitable 'evolution' continues with new director

Equitable Life has appointed a new non-executive director to its board with effect from next month.

Ian Reynolds, currently a non executive director of HSBC Life Assurance and of Alternative Assets Opportunities, as well as a member of the council of the Institute of Actuaries, will take up his post from the 1 October. The company says Reynolds has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously holding the position of UK divisional manager and general manager of life at Commercial Union between 1988 and 1998.
