Ministers are being urged to clarify the Government's current thinking on the advice regime that will accompany personal accounts.
Research firm The Resolution Foundation, which looks into factors affecting individuals on mid to low incomes, says this “key” issue needs “definitive proposals” before further progress on personal accounts, set to be introduced in 2012, can be made. The House of Lords is this afternoon debating amendments to the Pensions Bill, including whether a ‘lifeboat’ fund should be created to help victims of failed occupational pension schemes.
