IFAs with clients retiring after 2010 cannot use the DWP's pension forecasting service until 2008.
The department has begun to update its BR19 state pension forecasts to comply with changes made by the Pensions Act 2007. The DWP expects to complete the full systems for Great Britain and Northern Ireland by autumn next year. Savers calculating the value of their state pension normally need only complete the DWP’s BR19 form. The department then posts details of the pension’s value.
