A MORE generous state pension in return for a longer working life will be among the chief recommendations made by Lord Adair Turner's Pension Commission later this month, according to the Financial Times .
The commission set up by the government to review pensions savings will suggest, when it officially publishes its report next week, the age at which workers can claim their full state pension should, over time, rise from 65 to 67, says the paper. The report from Lord Turner, due for publication later this month, will also call for a new national pension savings plan into which individuals will automatically be enrolled but under which they retain the right to opt out.
