Half of all IFAs to transact online by 2009

IFAs expect to be transacting around £3.2bn worth of consumer business electronically by 2009, suggests the latest survey by the Exchange.

Details of the Exchange’s 2005 Technology Index study – which questions around 300 IFAs- reveals more than half of IFAs anticipate they will be conducting at least half of their business electronically in five years time as a result of the time savings. The Exchange points out technology has advanced since this survey was last conducted in 2004 as just 39% of those in 2004 said time savings were the main benefit to completing business online.
