OBSR safe as administrators move into Forsyth

Old Broad Street Research (OBSR) will not be affected by Forsyth Partners going into administration.

OBSR director Richard Romer-Lee says Forsyth-OBSR Limited is a separate company, sheltered from the current troubles at Forsyth. At 4pm last night, partners from Grant Thornton were appointed administrators of Forsyth Partners. The group, which has $1.2bn under management, had its Dubai operations suspended by the regulator earlier this month. “We have been aware of ongoing discussions regarding FPL and are saddened by the fact the company is now in administration,” Romer-Lee says. “However, we do not anticipate any disruption to the level of service provided by FOBSR. “For the sake of...
