Standard Life has been criticised for closing one of its IFA support centres, despite the insurer saying service levels would not drop as a result of its strategic review of distribution.
Last month, the group announced almost 200 jobs would be cut in its distribution channel as part of a strategic review of its business. As part of the review, the company is cutting down the size of its regional call centres from 11 to six. Standard Life says all changes are "designed to lead to improved operational efficiencies in our distribution channels", and insist the changes will not impact on service levels.
